Supergirl first look: Meet the second Worldkiller

Reign is not alone.

Following the reveal that Reign (Odette Annable) is not the only bio-engineered weapon of Krypton, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) herself will soon discover the news when she ends up tussling with another Worldkiller — and EW has the exclusive first look.

“This an exciting episode where we see Supergirl face off with the second Worldkiller, Purity, played brilliantly by Krys Marshall,” Supergirl bosses Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner tease of the Feb. 5 hour. “Purity is not what anyone expects and their showdown is full of surprises.”

One surprise, in particular, may finally give Kara a clue as to how to defeat Reign.

Purity, a.k.a. Julia, will first appear during Monday’s episode, but her big battle with Supergirl takes place during the Feb. 5 hour, which also marks the final episode before the show’s long hiatus — Legends of Tomorrow will air for nine weeks in its timeslot until the Girl of Steel returns April 16.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
