Wanted: A new gig that’s equal to — or even better than — starring in Scandal.

Now that the Shondaland drama is nearing the end of its seven-year run on ABC, actor Joshua Malina, who plays David Rosen, isn’t waiting for his agent to start soliciting offers for new roles. He’s doing it via Twitter — and quite effectively, to boot.

Given his vast experience in TV — before Scandal, he starred in shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Big Bang Theory, In Plain Sight, and of course The West Wing — it’s unlikely Malina will be out of work for long. (That is, we hope).

When ABC announced that this would be the last season of Scandal, executive producer Shonda Rhimes released this statement: “Deciding how to end a show is easy. Deciding when to finish is quite simple when the end date is years away. But actually going through with it? Actually standing up to say: ‘This is it?’ Not so much. So, next year we are going all out. Leaving nothing on the table. Creating this world in celebration. We are going to handle the end the way we like to handle the important things in our Scandal family: all together, white hats on, gladiators running full speed over a cliff.”

Scandal returns to ABC on Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. The series finale is expected in mid-April.
