Nashville announces season 6 premiere date

For a while, Nashville fans have known to expect the show’s sixth season in January, but now, we have an exact date. Thanks to a Twitter announcement from stars Jonathan Jackson and Hayden Panettiere, we now know that Nashville will return Thursday, Jan. 4 on CMT. The question is: What can we expect when it returns?

So far, what we know about the sixth season involves the addition of five new characters, a couple of new hair cuts, and Juliette on the verge of a breakdown. And, of course, fans are waiting for an answer about the will-they-won’t-they status of Jessie and Deacon’s relationship.

Let’s hope we start getting some answers when the show returns on Jan. 4.
