Scandal adds actors from Iron Man and Suicide Squad

A pair of actors from a couple of superhero movies are coming to play in Shondaland.

EW has learned that Shaun Toub (Iron Man) and Jay Hernandez (Suicide Squad) will join Scandal this season. As is usually the case with Shonda Rhimes’ production company, nobody’s talking about who they will play or what they will do in the drama about Washington D.C. fixer Olivia Pope. Dang.

In addition to appearing in Suicide Squad, Hernandez starred opposite Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell in Bad Moms last year. He is set to reprise his role in the sequel, A Bad Moms Christmas, which will premiere on Nov. 3.

Toub starred opposite Robert Downey Jr. in 2008’s Iron Man and the sequel in 2013. More recently, he appeared on Showtime’s Homeland.

The final season of Scandal begins Oct. 5 on ABC.
