Nashville sneak peek: Deacon struggles with Rayna's death

In an exclusive sneak peek from Thursday’s episode of Nashville, Deacon is finding it hard to come to terms with his grief for his late wife.

In the clip, Deacon shares his anguish with Avery when he’s asked to donate an item of Rayna’s for a charity auction. “It should be this simple deal, but it’s got me all jacked up for no reason,” he explains. When Avery steps in to comfort him, Deacon goes on to admit that he feels like he should be a little further in the grieving process than he is by now, but the younger musician assures him he can’t put a timeline on his grief. “At the end of the day, what’s on these walls, what’s in her closet, it’s just stuff,” says Avery by way of comfort. “The life that you shared, the songs you wrote together, that’s a different story. No one can take that away; that stuff’s eternal.”
