Friends From College trailer: Growing up is hard in new Netflix series

Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Savage, more star in Nick Stoller's Netflix series

Keegan-Michael Key and Cobie Smulders are still living out their college years as adults in the new trailer for Friends From College. And when old buddies reunite in this new Netflix comedy series from Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), they all become “a bunch of little bitches.”

Friends From College picks up with a group of six friends — rounded out by Annie Parisse (Sam), Nat Faxon (Nick), Fred Savage (Max), and Jae Suh Park (Marianne) — in their 40s, years after they all graduated from Harvard. Their past entanglements and flings come back to the forefront when the band gets back together. “We’ve got like 20 years of grievances built up. It all just gets so competitive,” Smulders says as Lisa, wife of Key’s Ethan, who is off having an affair with Sam.

Lisa is also working a job dominated by hyper-obnoxious bros and figuring out if she and Ethan should have a child, Nick is sleeping with a string of young women half his age, and Max’s boyfriend (played by Billy Eichner) is trying so hard to like this friend circle.

Also spotted in this “comedic exploration,” as Netflix describes it, is Saturday Night Live‘s Kate McKinnon, who’s obsessed with “nipples and butts” (the “two things that matter in this world”). Stoller directed all eight episodes of the series, while his wife, Francesca Delbanco, serves as executive producer and writer.
