In an exclusive clip from the penultimate episode of Bones, “The Day in the Life,” the newlyweds and their guests celebrate their nuptials with champagne and dancing—and look forward to their upcoming six-month trip.

It’s not long, though, before Cam’s attention is drawn back to work. Brennan calls her over to discuss a gift without a card that she doesn’t know how to categorize on her spreadsheet (she swears she’s having fun and, honestly, it’s believable). Cam then thanks her for handling everything with Zack’s hearing regarding his appeal.

“Dr. Hodgins and I have it covered,” Brennan assures her. “Besides, we have to get used to solving cases without you.” With that, Cam just can’t hold some big news in any longer and says, “I’m considering handing over my role as administrative head of the Jeffersonian. Truth is, I don’t know where the next chapter of my life is going to take me.” Naturally, Brennan drops a hint, and Cam is into it.
