Watch the action-packed final trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will stomp into theaters next month, and as the new trailer makes clear, it will feature plenty of giant-monster-on-giant monster fighting.

What else do you need to know?

“The film takes place about five years after the previous chapter [2014’s Godzilla], and it follows the mysterious scientific group known as Monarch as they attempt to understand why Godzilla and his kind are reappearing in our world,” director and cowriter Michael Dougherty tells EW. “Vera Farmiga plays a Monarch scientist who has been kidnapped by a mysterious organization, which has their own intentions or their own plans for the creatures, and Millie Bobby Brown plays her daughter. In this film, we learn that Monarch is very well aware of the existence of giant creatures. They have been sitting on this secret for decades because the existence of dozens of giant creatures hibernating around the world could send civilization into a panic.”

The cast also includes Kyle Chandler, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Ken Watanabe.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters opens May 31. Watch the latest trailer above.
