Jesse Palmer is staying 'neutral' on the Sydney vs. Maria Bachelor drama

Just call him Switzerland.

Each week during The Bachelor, host Jesse Palmer will answer a few questions about Joey's "journey" to find "love." Today, Jesse shares his thoughts via email about Lexi's bold talent show performance, the Sydney vs. Maria drama, and how The Bachelor fits into the space-time continuum.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: This week, the women competed in the Mrs. Right pageant. If you had to compete in a pageant, what would your talent be? (And you can't choose football or TV hosting!)

JESSE PALMER: My talent would be speed diaper changing. I’ve gotten surprisingly good and efficient since Ella’s arrival.

Other women were irritated that Lexi won the Mrs. Right pageant with her kissing "talent" — what did you think of her decision?

A risky and bold move by Lexi, knowing it might upset some of the other women, but it paid off since it made her stand out in Joey’s eyes.

Joey was upset to learn that Madina felt like she was being "bullied" last week, but Madina chose not to reveal who made her feel that way. It was so refreshing that she took the high road rather than naming names. Why do you think more contestants don't take that route when they have conflicts with each other?

I think some people get caught up, but I was really impressed with Madina’s maturity and composure in that situation.

#TeamSydney or #TeamMaria? And why?

I’m going to stay neutral on this one. It’s tricky to pick sides because the conflict between Sydney and Maria is based mostly on their own personal experiences.

Finally, Rachel says three days on The Bachelor is "like five years in dating life." True or false?

So true. The Bachelor operates on a different time and space continuum! You play one tennis match dressed as a hot dog for 15 minutes, and it’s the equivalent of a five-year engagement.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
