K.J. Apa and Maia Mitchell make the most of The Last Summer in new trailer

The To All the Boys I've Loved Before sequel is still release date-less, but never fear! Teen romance fans have plenty to look forward to in the next couple of months. The Perfect Date, starring To All the Boys' Noah Centineo, drops Friday, and now Netflix has released the trailer for The Last Summer, with Centineo's The Fosters costar Maia Mitchell and Riverdale's K.J. Apa. (If that isn't enough to whet your appetite, we don't know what is.)

The Last Summer follows a group of friends as they take stock of their relationships and try to make the most of their final summer vacation before college. Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner, The Chi), Tyler Posey (MTV's Teen Wolf, Truth or Dare), and The Orville's Halston Sage round out the main cast.

The trailer features Apa aplenty, with hints of the romantic sparks to fly between him and Mitchell. It also displays the ecstasy and the agony of that final pre-college summer in equal measure: in between beach bonfires and skate park hangouts, Sage dumps Latimore in favor of Posey's strapping Chicago Cubs player, and the friends mourn the little time together they have left as it steadily slips away.

The Last Summer debuts May 3 on Netflix.
