From Home Alone to It’s a Wonderful Life, you know and love the classic holiday movies and have probably seen them so many times you can recite your favorite scenes with ease. Here at EW, we have a few favorites, too, and this holiday season, we’re taking to PEN to count down our top 10 favorite holiday movie moments.

Starting off the list at No. 10 is the ‘lick’ between Catwoman and Batman in Tim Burton’s 1992 superhero flick Batman Returns. Though a superhero movie doesn’t exactly check off the cliché holiday movie boxes (There’s no Santa Claus?!), that’s what EW.com editor Christopher Rosen loves about it.

“This one’s on the list because it’s subverting the usual expectations of a holiday scene,” he explains.

The blockbuster sequel was released in the summer, but that didn’t stop Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman from straddling Michael Keaton’s Batman under an awaiting sprig of mistletoe. “Mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it,” Batman tells her.

“But a kiss can be even deadlier if you mean it,” she quips back. Even so, she doesn’t exactly grant him a kiss; instead, she licks him, and eventually gets a claw stuck in his superhero chest.

“What other movie do you have two movie stars who are at the height of all their powers, one of them in a vinyl catsuit?” asks EW senior writer Sara Vilkomerson. “I don’t know what could be better for the holidays.”
