Emmys 2015: Veep wins best comedy over Modern Family

The biggest drama at the 67th annual Emmy Awards may have actually taken place in the comedy category, as Veep overtook Modern Family to win the Outstanding Comedy Series award.

After five years of consecutive wins, Veep took the top Comedy prize home.

After wins on Sunday for Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Tony Hale as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series win for Tony Hale in 2013, the HBO political comedy snatched gold away from its incumbent opponent.
