The Gifted: Stephen Moyer reveals the advice he got from wife Anna Paquin — and if she'd cameo

Stephen Moyer doesn’t play one of the hunted mutants in Fox’s upcoming The Gifted, but as the husband of his fellow True Blood alum Anna Paquin, who played Rogue in the X-Men films, he does know X-Men royalty.

And luckily for Moyer, he got some advice from Paquin before joining the drama set in the X-Men universe. Having worked on the films with director Bryan Singer, who executive-produces the series and directed the pilot, Paquin told Moyer to listen to Singer as much as possible, because he’s “encyclopedic” about the mutant world. “She was great about setting up the idea of what the world stands for,” Moyer tells EW’s Tim Stack in the video above from EW’s Comic-Con studio. But as much advice as Paquin had to offer, Moyer says she’s unlikely to head to the small screen as Rogue. “Anything’s possible,” he says, “but I can’t see it happening in the near future.”
