'Veronica Mars' movie first look at Comic-Con: Lots of LoVe

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, we used to be friends.

So begins the Veronica Mars theme song and a brand-new Comic-Con sneak peek of the upcoming Kickstarter-funded movie. The cast and director Rob Thomas address their fans/financers in the nearly five-minute clip (“Fans are cool, but Veronica Mars fans are awesome,” Veronica herself, Kristen Bell, says. “That’s just kind of the way it works”) before the first look at the film is unveiled.

Among the surprises: The video begins with Bell being questioned by Jamie Lee Curtis, who hadn’t yet been announced as part of the cast. And all your old favorites are back, including Mac (Tina Majorino) with a Sharon Stone-esque new haircut, Wallace (Percy Daggs III), Piz (Chris Lowell), Weevil (Francis Capra), and, of course, the other half of LoVe, Logan (Jason Dohring), who clearly is still holding a torch for our girl Veronica.
