Rachel Zegler knows the wrath of online backlash all too well, so she's defending Taylor Swift from her latest round of criticism.
The West Side Story star spoke out on behalf of the "Anti-Hero" singer, who has received a frenzy of media attention after appearing at two Kansas City Chiefs games supporting rumored new beau Travis Kelce.

"It's not news that the media is particularly (and unwarrantedly) cruel to taylor swift but the way men feel entitled to speak about women, their bodies, and their sex lives needs to be seriously evaluated," Zegler wrote on social media.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes star was responding to a crude video in which Dan Katz of Barstool Sports said, "If Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift release a sex video, I'll consummate this relationship and be like, 'Fine. You guys can have sex, you can be boyfriend/girlfriend. I don't buy it …until that happens, I think it's fake, I think it's for clicks, and I think Taylor Swift is using the NFL to try to make her star bigger."
Zegler called out the overt misogyny in Katz's remarks. "You will never see people speaking this way about a man," the actress wrote. "That goes for a lot of different scenarios. we do not pick apart men's attitudes and relationships the way we do women's. and it's not always just men who speak this way about us. women can and do, too. it sucks."
Zegler previously faced harsh criticism from detractors of her upcoming film Snow White, in which she plays the titular Disney princess opposite Gal Gadot's Evil Queen. On social media, the actress has been an outspoken admirer of Swift's work for years, repeatedly using her lyrics as Instagram captions and tweeting her connection to Swift's music and even covers of her songs.
