Gilmore Girls: Lauren Graham filmed multiple reactions to the final four words

By now, most Gilmore Girls fans know the final four words that show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino thought up all those years ago (and if you don’t, you might want to stop reading now!).

Sitting on the steps of the gazebo after Luke and Lorelai tie the knot, Rory turns to her mother and tells her the big news: Rory is pregnant. Lorelai gasps just before the scene cuts to black, and when Lauren Graham went on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, she revealed they actually filmed “several reactions” to Lorelai hearing the news.

Although Graham hasn’t seen the reaction used, from what she’s heard, she says, “The reaction I gave I would say a 50-50 mix of surprise and total joy.” As for what Graham thought of the final four words, she said she was shocked before accepting the cliffhanger aspect: “I love the idea that even if you’re frustrated, your imagination can take over,” she said.

Overall, Graham calls the revival, “one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had.”
