Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life debated on Bingeworthy

Gilmore Girls fans have been obsessing over the Netflix revival since its debut Friday after Thanksgiving. Bingeworthy‘s own Jessica Shaw calls the show “near and dear to my heart,” and admits she could scarcely wait to return to Stars Hollow.

Still, Shaw ultimately found Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life to be a bit of a mixed bag. “I don’t think it was terrible. I thought they were terrible parts. I don’t think it was great. I thought they were great parts,” she says. One thing Shaw could not hold back on was her praise for Lauren Graham’s performance as Lorelai. “She continues to astound me with how talented she is,” she raved.

On the other end of the spectrum, Touré had never watched an episode of Gilmore Girls before plunging into the revival and that seemed to put him at a disadvantage. He even fell asleep and woke up an episode later asking, “How come there’s no plot?”

The iconic fast-paced dialogue did not go over well with Touré either. “They have this weird way of talk, talk, talk, talk,” he says before Shaw retorts, “You say weird, I say amazing.”
