Gilmore Girls: Alexis Bledel tells Jimmy Fallon her top four characters

Ahead of the Netflix premiere of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Jimmy Fallon revealed he had recently begun watching the original series. Fallon declared his four favorite non-Gilmore characters as Taylor (Michael Winters), Luke (Scott Patterson), Kirk (Sean Gunn), and Paris Geller (Liza Weil), a choice that led to both three of those actors appearing on The Tonight Show and the rise of a hashtag #GilmoreGirlsTop4. Naturally, when series star Alexis Bledel stopped by The Tonight Show on Monday, Fallon had to ask for her list.

Although Bledel agreed with Fallon on Kirk, she had some deep cuts to round out her top four, like Caesar (Aris Alvarado), Babette (Sally Struthers), and Miss Patty (Liz Torres). Her choice of the latter two had a lot to do with the actors’ on-set antics.

“They were on All in the Family together,” Bledel said of Torres and Struthers. “They were on the show for years and years, so every time they were on set they would get together and sing show tunes. It was such a raucous day on set every time they were there, so I have to appreciate them.”
