Fresh Off the Boat: Jessica & Evan take over Costco in exclusive clip

Everyone has their own method of tackling Costco, including the Huangs.

In an exclusive clip of Tuesday’s episode, Jessica (Constance Wu) and Evan (Ian Chen) first stop by to sample spicy ranch spread, courtesy of Marie (played by The Simpsons‘ Yeardley Smith). While they disagree on the dip’s quality, Jessica and Evan indulge because it’s free. Then their bulk buying adventure begins.

Set to “Playaz Club” by Rappin’ 4-Tay, the mother-son tandem cruise through the aisles, reading the latest best-sellers (Bridget Jones’s Diary for Jessica; Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood for Evan), grabbing giant flats of eggs, testing sunglasses, and breaking eggs and secretly replacing them.

All’s well for Jessica, especially when Evan reveals his friend Zack wants to hang next Sunday. “Great! Next Sunday’s our toilet paper run. We could use the extra set of hands to carry the 144 pack.”

What she won’t handle well will be Evan’s admission he’d rather hang with his pal at church instead of at the warehouse.
