New Girl clip: Peter Gallagher breaks down

It doesn’t take long for Schmidt’s dad (Peter Gallagher) to have a Thanksgiving breakdown in an exclusive clip from this week’s New Girl: Soon after his son (Max Greenfield) welcomes Gavin inside, the father starts crying. And, of course, Schmidt thinks it’s about him.

“It’s our first Thanksgiving together,” he says. “Look, I’ve been crying all morning too. This is a good thing.” But, nope, Gavin is crying about something completely different: his recent breakup. Way to make Thanksgiving awkward, Dad!
