Rule No. 105: Always be prepared for the possibility of a sequel.

Isla Fisher appeared on the Today show Thursday to promote her new film, Nocturnal Animals, and was also asked about the potential for a follow-up to the 2005 hit Wedding Crashers. “I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said that apparently we’re going to be making a sequel,” she revealed. “So I’m really excited to see what happened to Gloria.”

In David Dobkin’s rowdy, R-rated comedy, Fisher starred as Gloria, who latches onto Vaughn’s Jeremy, a wedding crashing connoisseur. Wedding Crashers also starred Owen Wilson as Jeremy’s partner-in-crime, John; Rachel McAdams as Gloria’s sister and John’s love interest, Claire; and Bradley Cooper as Sack, Claire’s aggressive jerk of a boyfriend.

While Fisher may have gotten the scoop from Vaughn, she admits that she doesn’t know if it’s a done deal yet. “I shouldn’t really announce it on morning television,” she joked. “But apparently there’s some talk of it, which is fun.”

This wouldn’t be the first reteaming of Wilson and Vaughn. The duo reunited for 2013’s The Internship, which grossed only $93 million at the box office, falling well short of Wedding Crashers’ haul of $285 million.

EW has reached out to New Line about Fisher’s sequel comments. You can see her Today interview below.
