Diane Lockhart will face a new adversary.

Delroy Lindo, a Tony Award nominee, has been cast in The Good Wife spin-off, CBS announced Thursday evening. In the series, which will reside on the CBS All Access streaming service, the British-American actor will play attorney Robert Boseman, who begins poaching Diane’s (Christine Baranski) associates and clients when she gets into financial trouble, threatening her ability to stay in business.

“Boseman is a character who dominates every scene, intimidates every lawyer, and is beloved by every client. He needs to look like a Chicago lawyer, but have a Shakespearean facility with language, and Delroy Lindo was really the only actor who came to mind,” executive producers and showrunners Robert and Michelle King said in a statement. “Just thinking of his scenes with Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo makes us smile.”

Lindo has previously starred in a series of short-lived shows: The Chicago Code, Believe, and Blood & Oil. He earned a SAG Award nomination for his involvement in the ensemble of crime comedy Get Shorty and starred in Spike Lee’s Malcolm X biopic.

The Good Wife spin-off is set to debut on CBS All Access in February 2017.
