Issa Rae, creator of the web series Awkward Black Girl, is making the jump to TV with HBO’s Insecure. Before the show’s network debut on Sunday, Oct. 9, the comic announced that the pilot episode is already available to stream on HBO NOW, HBO GO, and HBO On Demand.

The show follows Issa and Molly, two friends who don’t live up to the image of “strong, confident, and ‘flawless'” black women. Both are fumbling through life trying to figure out what they want and how to obtain it.

In the premiere, called “Insecure as F–k,” Issa reconsiders her relationship with her live-in boyfriend Lawrence as she’s about to turn 29, and uses an open-mic night as an excuse to reconnect with an ex. Meanwhile, Molly mourns her singledom.

Co-created by Rae and Larry Wilmore, Insecure also features Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Y’lan Noel, and Gail Bean.
