James Corden and Rose Byrne are going down the rabbit hole.

The Late Late Show host and the Neighbors 2 actress are in negotiations to star in Sony’s upcoming film based on the Peter Rabbit children’s books, EW has confirmed. Corden would voice the eponymous hare, while Byrne would play a human character.

Will Gluck (Easy A, Friends With Benefits) is directing the movie, which is to combine CG animation with live action. It’s envisioned as a modern interpretation of Beatrix Potter‘s tales (first published between 1902 and 1912), with a story centered on the rivalry between the rascally Peter Rabbit and gardening enthusiast Mr. McGregor.

Corden will next be heard on the big screen in Fox’s animated movie Trolls, due in November, and Byrne’s upcoming screen projects include the Aussie toon Larrikins and the HBO movie The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.
