CBS’ new Star Trek series is looking to live long and prosper on the global market, as it was announced Monday that Netflix will stream the new program to 188 countries following its premiere on the American network.

Within 24 hours of the show’s North American debut, all episodes of the sci-fi series will be made available to stream via Netflix’s subscription-based service in all licensed territories (excluding the U.S. and Canada). Additionally, all 727 episodes of Star Trek‘s TV catalog — including Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise — will be made available on Netflix throughout the rest of 2016.

In Canada, Bell Media has landed exclusive rights to the series. CTV will air the episode day-and-date with CBS’ broadcast.

The upcoming CBS series, from co-creators and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Bryan Fuller, enters production this September in Toronto ahead of its January 2017 special episode premiere on CBS. All subsequent episodes will then be made available in the U.S. exclusively on CBS All Access, the network’s on demand and live streaming service. Fuller previously wrote for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, while Kurtzman co-wrote and produced the films Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013).

Marking the first time new episodes of a Star Trek program have aired on television since 2005, the new project will feature a “new ship, new characters, and new missions, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation,” according to a press release. It is loosely based on the Gene Roddenberry original.

“The launch of the new Star Trek will truly be a global television event,” Armando Nuñez, President and CEO of CBS Studios International said via statement. “Star Trek is a worldwide phenomenon and this international partnership will provide fans around the world, who have been craving a new series for more than a decade, the opportunity to see every episode virtually at the same time as viewers in the U.S. Thanks to our world-class partners at Netflix, the new Star Trek will definitely be ‘hailing on all frequencies’ throughout the planet.”

The next film in the global franchise, Star Trek Beyond, hits theaters Friday, July 22.
