Lindsay Lohan is in the process of writing a book. Though the details are scarce, she spoke about her new project in an interview with Vanity Fair, saying, “I am very excited to share my personal experiences in life and how to overcome obstacles.”

She didn’t specify if the collection would be non-fiction or fiction, but she continued, “I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when [or] if they are in a tough place. I am grateful that I have a voice, which I can now feel comfortable using as a platform to let people know that we all have ups and downs in life, and we can all come up from the downs if we get in touch with our inner self and spiritual side.”

Rumors of a Lohan book have been swirling for a few years. In 2014, Page Six reported that Lohan got a $1 million deal to publish her memoir, but then the next year, they reported that Lohan turned down a deal for the tell-all and that she was working on an “educational book on style and fashion.”

Fruits of her other creative pursuits may not be so far off either. Last week in a live chat with Mean Girls costar Rajiv Surendra, Lohan revealed that she “[has to] record another album with Universal Motown.” She added, “And I will.”
