Friday Night Lights stars reunite and reveal where their characters are now

Texas Forever, y'all

Tearful eyes, bursting hearts… that’s how it felt to reunite with the cast of Friday Night Lights — on Panther Field — at the ATX Television Festival.

Celebrating 10 years since the show’s debut, Connie Britton (Tami Taylor), Gaius Charles (“Smash” Williams), Scott Porter (Jason Street), Adrianne Palicki (Tyra Collette), Matt Lauria (Luke Cafferty), Dora Madison (Becky Sproles), Brad Leland (Buddy Garrity), Derek Phillips (Billy Riggins), Katherine Willis (Joanne Street), Louanne Stephens (Grandma Saracen), Stacey Oristano (Mindy Riggins) and executive producer Jason Katims all spoke with Entertainment Weekly about returning to the show’s iconic location.

“Being back here is amazing. We used to play flag football on this field and I think that, even more than shooting out here, means something to me in a special way and to be where those memories were made, where those friendships were really forged and ironed,” Porter shares in our video above. Adds Charles, “The last scene [my character] Smash had was right here on this field with all the guys.”

In the video, the cast also reveals where they believe their characters are today. Spoiler alert: Britton promises Coach and Tami are still going strong! Watch to find out what our favorite couple would be up to now, if Tim Riggins ever built his house, and who believes their character … is dead. Plus: Which actor cried the most on their final day of filming? You might be surprised.
