Dinosaur Jr. announce new album, tour

Legendary alt-rockers Dinosaur Jr. will return in August with their eleventh studio album. Due out August 5, Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not follows 2012’s I Bet on Sky. The Massachusetts band also announced an international tour that kicks off June 2 in Lyon, France and concludes November 19 in Manchester, England — with plenty of U.S. and European stops in between.

“Like every other Dinosaur Jr. record, it is fantastic,” former Black Flag singer Henry Rollins said in a video about the new album. “They are one of my favorite bands and one of the best live bands ever. I cannot wait for you to hear this record — you’re gonna love it.” Rollins’ relationship with the group dates back to the ’80s, when Dinosaur Jr. and Black Flag were both signed to the indie label SST Records.
