The vitriol Seth Rogen had for Zac Efron in Neighbors came from a real place.
As Rogen revealed in a new interview with EW senior writer Sara Vilkomerson during a SiriusXM town hall on EW Radio (ch. 105), he hates his neighbor.
“My neighbor’s been building the same house since the first Neighbors movie we were promoting,” the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star said. “I’m always afraid one day he’s going to publish the emails I’ve sent him. It will make me look like a complete psychopath.”
Rogen said his neighbor’s had construction going on next door for four years, inhibiting his sleep. “And he’s a d— about it,” Rogen laughs. “I talk about it on radio and television, and that’s my only recourse: travel the world, talking about it.”
Meanwhile, costars Rose Byrne and Zac Efron have very pleasant neighbor relationships: The former laments her current ones are moving, while the latter gets along well with his next-door neighbor, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day.
See the interview above, in which they share their pick for favorite TV neighbor. Neighbors 2 opens Friday.
