Kesha may not be performing a Bob Dylan cover at the Billboard Music Awards, but with a little help from Ben Folds she took on Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe” on Wednesday night at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre.

Earlier this week, Dick Clark Productions revealed that Kesha intended to perform at the awards show on Sunday with permission from Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records, but the label later “rescinded its approval following a media report on Wednesday, May 11th regarding Kesha’s appearance on the BBMAs.”

Kesha then said in a Facebook post that she had planned to cover Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe.” “I simply wanted to sing a song I love to honor an artist I have always looked up to,” she wrote.
