Blake Shelton plays by his own rules, even when it comes to charades.

The country singer was paired with Jimmy Fallon during a few rounds against Kit Harington and Rose Byrne on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. While his opponents faired better, thanks to Byrne’s exceptional deductions, Shelton’s competitive spirit didn’t vibe very well with Fallon.

“You were wasting the entire time, trying to be funny,” he joked with Fallon. “Can I please be on Rose’s team?” When it was Shelton’s turn up to bat, he paid no mind to the rules and went about picking and choosing which phrase to act out.;

In the end, the Tonight Show judges were feeling the Byrne as the Neighbors 2 star helped score the win for Team Harington.
