The internet can take a short break from its “Run Away With Me” Vines Friday morning, and instead check out Carly Rae Jepsen’s newest music video for “Boy Problems,” off her 2015 album EMOTION.

In the video, Jepsen and her girlfriends pay homage to the ’80s, with some shoulder-pads and mullets. Maybe she’s in a retro state of mind after starring in Grease: Live? The video was directed by photographer Petra Collins, who Jepsen explains actually reached out to her, hoping to make a video for “Boy Problems.”

“Out of the blue, Petra reached out to ask if she could make a video for her favorite track from the album: ‘Boy Problems,’” Jepsen tells Rookie Magazine. “What she didn’t know is that I had been following her online, via Instagram and other outlets, for a while and had become a HUGE fan of her photographs and artwork… I am so pleased for how the dark and glittery scenes we imagined turned out.”
