Check the room for bugs: The Bristow family is back in the spy game.

Jennifer Garner reunited with TV dad Victor Garber and Alias creator J.J. Abrams at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday. Garber’s husband Rainer Andreesen captured the moment on Instagram. Here’s hoping the trio was plotting an Alias revival (and a way to bring Garber’s character back from the dead).

Garner and Garber have remained close since the five seasons they spent as father-daughter spy duo Jack and Sydney Bristow. “Mostly I think it evolved from laughing,” Garber said of their friendship during a shoot for EW’s 2010 Reunions issue.

“From the first moment we met,” Garber told Vanity Fair, “there was this inexplicable chemistry and connection, this understanding that we were on the same page. She’s one of the most important people in my life.”

Abrams has equally high praise for his former leading lady. “She’s smart-funny,” he said to VF. “She makes you want to be funnier and smarter, and you know that when you throw the best you’ve got her way she’ll make it better. No one’s perfect. But no one’s Jen Garner.”
