Before Hollywood’s best are awarded at the Oscars on Sunday night, it’s time to recognize the industry’s worst… at least as dictated by the Razzie Awards.
Winners for the 2016 Razzies were announced Saturday night, with Fifty Shades of Grey taking five total awards, including worst picture. The blockbuster S&M romance tied with superhero flop Fantastic Four in that category, and also won prizes for worst actor (Jamie Dornan), worst actress (Dakota Johnson), worst onscreen duo (Dornan and Johnson), and worst screenplay.
The much-derided Fantastic Four won two other awards beyond its shared worst picture crown: worst remake and worst director for Josh Trank.
Eddie Redmayne was named worst supporting actor by the Razzies for Jupiter Ascending (Redmayne won an Oscar last year and is nominated again on Sunday), while Kaley Cuoco took home the worst supporting actress prize for her roles in Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip and The Wedding Ringer.
The Razzies also handed out the Razzie Redeemer Award, given to a star who had what the organization considered a comeback in 2015. Oscar favorite Sylvester Stallone won that honor for Creed.
