Oscars 2016: What time are the Oscars?

You’ve made it, film fans! Oscar weekend is finally upon us. A whole year of watching movies, reading thinkpieces, and crossing your fingers that Leonardo DiCaprio will finally take one home pays off this Sunday. Are you ready?

Once you’ve finalized your ballot, what next? Don’t stress: We’ve gathered all the crucial information, so the only thing you have to worry about is your Best Picture pick. What time are the Oscars?

The 88th Academy Awards will be held at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre this Sunday, Feb. 28, and the ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. local time. You can watch the red carpet and the awards telecast live on ABC starting at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT.

Who’s hosting?

Chris Rock will be back for his second turn as host. He first emceed the show 11 years ago, in 2005, when Million Dollar Baby took home Best Picture (and DiCaprio lost his second Oscar race, to Jamie Foxx for Best Actor).

Who’s presenting?

So far, the Academy has made four rounds of presenter announcements. Last year’s winners Patricia Arquette, Julianne Moore, Eddie Redmayne, and J.K. Simmons are all on the list, and will presumably continue the tradition of the previous year’s acting winners presenting their respective Lead/Supporting categories for the opposite gender.

Olivia Munn and Jason Segel, who hosted the Sci-Tech awards on Feb. 13, will be back to present at the main ceremony, and former winners Cate Blanchett, Common, Russell Crowe, Benicio Del Toro, Morgan Freeman, Whoopi Goldberg, Louis Gossett, Jr., Quincy Jones, John Legend, Jared Leto, Charlize Theron, and Reese Witherspoon will all present as well.

Rounding out the group are J.J. Abrams, Abraham Attah, Emily Blunt, Steve Carell, Henry Cavill, Priyanka Chopra, Louis C.K., Sacha Baron Cohen, Chris Evans, Tina Fey, Jennifer Garner, Ryan Gosling, Kevin Hart, Michael B. Jordan, Byung-hun Lee, Rachel McAdams, Dev Patel, Daisy Ridley, Margot Robbie, Andy Serkis, Sarah Silverman, Jacob Tremblay, Sofia Vergara, Kerry Washington, and Pharrell Williams.

Who’s performing?

Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, and The Weeknd will all perform their respective Oscar-nominated original songs, “Til It Happens to You” from The Hunting Ground, “Writing’s on the Wall” from Spectre, and “Earned It” from Fifty Shades of Grey. Remaining Best Original Song nominees “Manta Ray” from Racing Extinction and “Simple Song #3” from Youth will reportedly not be performed live during the telecast, according to Variety. Dave Grohl is also set to give a special performance.

Who’s nominated?

Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars are in the running — though the Academy has gotten enormous criticism (#Oscarssowhite) for this year’s racially homogenous crop of nominees. In response to the backlash, AMPAS made significant changes to its membership practices, so hopefully there will be more diversity among the films and individuals recognized in years to come.
