It’s been 12 years, but Chiwetel Ejiofor still thinks Mark from Love Actually is a bad friend.

Andrew Lincoln’s character was the best man in Peter’s (Ejiofor) wedding to Juliet (Keira Knightley), but later revealed himself to be in love with the bride during his famous scene involving carols and cue cards. Cosmopolitan U.K. asked the actor during the press junket for Triple 9 whether he can forgive his fictional friend for professing his love to his wife, to which he replied, “Never.”

Cosmopolitan U.K. also asked what his reaction would be if this happened to him in real life. “That would not be a good moment,” Chiwetel said. “If I had opened the door, it would’ve been really awkward.”

Lincoln happens to be on Chiwetel’s side. The Walking Dead star told The Wrap earlier this year, “He is a stalker. That was my question to [writer and director] Richard Curtis, ‘Do you not think we’re sort of borderline stalker territory here?’ And he said, ‘No, no. Not with you playing it, darling. You’ll be alright.’”
