What time are the SAG Awards?

As awards season continues its steady march towards Oscar Sunday, this weekend brings us the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, the only major awards show that exclusively honors performers.

As EW’s Oscar expert Nicole Sperling notes, the actors who take home The Actor, which is what they call the SAG statuette, often pick up the Oscar too. So if there’s a lot riding on your Academy Awards pool, you might want to tune in to this Saturday’s ceremony. What time are the SAG Awards?

The 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards take place at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall on Saturday. The ceremony will air live on both TNT and TBS at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT; the red carpet begins at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT.

Who’s presenting?

The long list of actors who will present awards to their peers includes Priyanka Chopra, Brie Larson, Eva Longoria, Julianne Moore, Eddie Redmayne, Sarah Silverman, Jacob Tremblay, Idris Elba, Anna Faris, Corey Hawkins, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Michael Keaton, Anthony Mackie, Rachel McAdams, Jason Mitchell, Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Kristen Wiig, and SAG-AFTRA President Ken Howard.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will present Carol Burnett with the Lifetime Achievement Award, SAG-AFTRA’s highest accolade.

Which movies and TV shows have the most nominations?

In a bit of a surprise, Trumbo picked up the most nominations for a theatrical motion picture, with three (the film only got one nod at the Oscars, for star Bryan Cranston). Perennial awards favorites Game of Thrones, Homeland, and House of Cards led the pack for TV series, all collecting three nominations as well.
