Arrow reveals Felicity's codename

Felicity Smoak has truly become a superhero: During Wednesday’s episode of Arrow, the team’s go-to IT gal got her very own codename.

Though it had long been speculated that Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) would become Oracle, the alias Barbara Gordon took on after she was paralyzed, Felicity Smoak’s new codename is actually Overwatch.

Overwatch, for those who may not know, is the name of Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim’s CIA conspiracy novel.

So, why didn’t Team Arrow dub her Oracle, especially since Felicity is now paralyzed? “I was gonna go with Oracle, but it’s taken,” quipped Oliver (Stephen Amell).

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
