Golden Globes 2016: Inside Out wins Best Animated Feature

Pixar’s Golden Globe dominance continues. Inside Out won Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, making it the seventh Pixar movie to win in the 10 years since the award was created.

Directed by Pete Docter, Inside Out is a colorful look at a young girl’s inner emotions, and was widely acclaimed as a return to top-notch form for Pixar. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Mindy Kaling, Lewis Black, and Bill Hader star as the members of young Riley’s emotional spectrum, aided by a heartbreaking performance from Richard Kind as a forgotten imaginary friend.

“It felt like growing up is really hard, and that was an interesting subject to make a movie about,” Docter said in the acceptance speech.

Inside Out has become famous for its ability to generate intense emotions even in adult viewers.
