Actress-singer Mandy Moore and Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia are among the core cast of an untitled NBC pilot from Dan Fogelman, screenwriter of Tangled and creator of the musical-comedy series Galavant.

Justin Hartley (Smallville), Sterling Brown (Army Wives), and Ron Cephas Jones (Mr. Robot) are also joining the hourlong dramedy, which follows an ensemble of characters who were all born on the same day.

Ventimiglia will play Jack, an easygoing guy happily married to Moore’s Rebecca, who’s on the verge of giving birth to triplets as the couple settle into a new home in Pittsburgh.

Hartley will portray Kevin, a successful actor with a void in his bachelor life; Brown will play Randall, a New York businessman and family man; and Jones will play William, the father who abandoned Randall.

Fogelman wrote and will executive produce alongside Charlie Gogolak, Jess Rosenthal, John Requa, and Glenn Ficarra. Requa and Ficarra, who worked with Fogelman on Crazy, Stupid Love, are directing the pilot.
