After more than 150 years on Earth, it’s safe to say that there are many sides to The Vampire Diaries‘ Stefan Salvatore, whether he’s the hero, the ripper, or somewhere in between. (Although, thankfully, all of his sides involve hero hair.)

However, no matter his emotional state, Stefan has been known to offer a few words of advice. So when EW visited the Vampire Diaries set, we quizzed actor Paul Wesley on just how well he knew some of Stefan’s wisest lines.
