The X-FIles teaser trailer: Mulder and Scully are on dangerous ground

UPDATE: Fox has unveiled the full, extended teaser trailer for the upcoming The X-Files revival. Watch the full two-minute trailer in all of its glory above.

​EARLIER: The truth is still out there in the new The X-Files teaser trailer, which offers our best look yet at what the revival series has in store.

“We’ve never been in more danger,” David Duchovny says back in the role of Fox Mulder, as he and Gillian Anderson’s Dana Scully embark on a brand new adventure that sees the return of some familiar faces. Among those in the trailer are Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, and though no face is shown, a recognizable, cigarette-holding hand appears at the end of the tease.
