American Horror Story: Hotel: Behind the scenes

We’ve been teased with creepy clips and inside scoop from the stars and creators, but now we finally have our first extended look at the set of American Horror Story: Hotel.

A behind-the-scenes video released by FX reveals shots of the Hotel Cortez set: Kathy Bates and Wes Bentley at the bar, Chloë Sevigny wandering down the halls, guests checking in at the lobby.

“The costumes, the hair, the makeup, the set, it does so much to help you kind of feel you’re living inside of this world, and this set absolutely does that,” says Sarah Paulson, who plays Sally, a drug addict.

The video also features the first close-up look at Denis O’Hare’s character, a cross-dresser dubbed Liz Taylor.

“I’m sorry, lady. This is a no-tell hotel,” Taylor warns.

Other notable scenes include those of the Countess, the owner of Hotel Cortez played by Lady Gaga.

“I can’t wait for you to check into my hotel,” Gaga says. Neither can we.
