The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood: See the exclusive new art

Universal Studios Hollywood is casting a spell on the West Coast with its upcoming The Wizarding World of Harry Potter experience, and EW is unveiling the exclusive key art ahead of the opening in spring 2016.

In the first look image, the Boy Who Lived stands with his wand ready to duel, with the village of Hogsmeade, and, of course, Hogwarts Castle, displayed in the background.

Universal Studios Hollywood revealed details about the Harry Potter-themed park back in June; the Wizarding World has been in the making for more than five years. (Because that kind of magic is time-consuming.)

Visitors will be guided through the adventures of Harry and his pals with the site’s biggest attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, an immersive 3-D HD thrill ride, where passengers will don Quidditch-inspired goggles to explore the Quidditch pitch, fly high above the school, and even come face-to-face with a dragon.

The park also will include Universal’s first outdoor rollercoaster, Flight of the Hippogriff, as well as recreations of both Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle. And don’t forget about the Butterbeer, which will be on tap to quench Muggle guests’ thirst as they tour various shops.
