Following the death of Oliver Sacks, Robin Williams’ daughter posted a touching tribute to the renowned neurologist and author on Twitter.

Sacks, who passed away on Sunday after a battle with cancer, worked with Williams on Awakenings, adapted from his 1973 book of the same name. The actor portrayed Sacks in the Oscar-nominated film, and the two are shown conversing in newly released photos shared by Williams’ daughter, Zelda.

“Last night, we lost one of the brain’s greatest champions, as well as one of my family’s favorite humans,” Zelda tweeted. “Thank you Oliver, for treating humans like humans, not patients, and for how much you did and will continue to do for mental awareness.”

Robin Williams committed suicide on Aug. 11, 2014. His wife Susan revealed after his death that he suffered from depression for years and was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. “Here’s hoping you and Dad are enjoying the view together, and debating the world again the way only you two could. RIP. Mr. Sacks,” Zelda tweeted.
