Ali Larter cast in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

  • Ali Larter isn’t allowing Milla Jovovich to go it alone in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The actress is reprising her role as Claire Redfield for the last installment of the Resident Evil franchise. Paul W.S. Anderson, the director of three of the five other films and writer of all five films, returns to direct and write. It’s set after Retribution, with Project Alice pitted against the Red Queen to retain humanity. Filming begins next month in South Africa. [Deadline]
  • Frank Grillo is in final negotiations to join Purge 3. The actor led The Purge: Anarchy as Sergeant Leo Barnes. Purge posits a world in which crime is legalized for a 12-hour period.
