Jane Lynch on Meryl Streep at the Julie & Julia premiere: Glee star's mom chased Streep down the red carpet

Whenever Meryl Streep hits a red carpet, it’s easy for everyone in the vicinity to get a little starstruck. But when Jane Lynch’s mother spotted the Oscar-winning actress at the Julie & Julia premiere, she wasn’t afraid to prove she was the biggest – and probably fastest – fan out there.

For EW’s Greatest Story Ever Told video series, the actress remembers the time back in 2009 when her mom sprinted on the red carpet for the chance to chat with Streep – because, according to Lynch, “When she wanted something, she could move. And she wanted Meryl Streep.” Check out the hilarious anecdote above.
