Actor Aubrey Morris, best known for his roles in the bona fide cult classics A Clockwork Orange and The Wicker Man, has died at the age of 89.

The British-born Morris’ many film and TV credits also include director Woody Allen’s Love and Death (1975), Ken Russell’s Lisztomania (1975), Tobe Hooper’s horror film Lifeforce (1985), HBO’s western show Deadwood, and, just this year, an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Director Mick Garris (Sleepwalkers), who worked with Morris on the NBC TV show The Others, paid tribute to the actor on his Facebook page: “He was an amazing gentleman, and brought so much originality and enthusiasm to his brief role. How lucky to have spent time with him. He was unbelievably charming and wonderfully eccentric.”

Morris passed away yesterday. His death was originally reported by the Guardian and has been confirmed by his agent.
