Neil Patrick Harris tries to do a big number in variety show promo

With the Oscars coming up, promos starring Neil Patrick Harris are par for the course, but the latest doesn’t have to do with handing out trophies to movie stars. Instead, here’s a promo for Harris’s upcoming NBC variety show, in which he attempts a big production number only to be thwarted by the time limit. Too bad. Even before the show was announced, Harris had publicly discussed wanting to do a variety show, which seems like the perfect fit for multi-talented performer and go-to awards show host. The show will be based on the British series Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
