Kitana and Kung Lao return to fight in Mortal Kombat X trailer

Mortal Kombat X‘s roster of deadly fighters is growing, as the game’s latest trailer shows off Princess Kitana and Kung Lao are joining the fray.

Both characters debuted in Mortal Kombat II in 1993 and have popped up throughout the series’ lifespan. Kitana is known for fighting with her fans conveniently tipped with sharp steel blades, while Kung Lao uses his wardrobe to fight, his signature weapon being his razor-brimmed hat.

The new trailer introduces the characters, as well as shows off some of the gorgeous scenery that will serve as the location for the game’s brutal and bloody battles.

Other series stalwarts like Sub-Zero and Scorpion will return as well, in addition to newcomers like Cassie Cage.

Mortal Kombat X debuts for PlaySation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC on April 14. A live-action video series is expected some time this year to coincide with the newest title in the series.
